Actors Vidyut Jamwal and Prachi Mishra (Miss India Earth 2012) were in the city recently to participate in a kid’s festival. Speaking at the do, Vidyut, who is known for his passion for fitness and the way he carries himself, stressed on the need of personality development for children.
He said, “More than engaging with parents, these days, youngsters are involved with their gadgets.
At the airport recently, parents had got their children to me for my autograph. But they were so busy updating their friends with ‘we are with Vidyut’ messages they hardly spoke to me!”
A trained martial arts professional himself, Vidyut feels kids these days need to know at least the basics of self defence for an overall personality development. He said, “I feel it’s of utmost importance for children to practice martial arts. Even if now this, they should be encouraged to do at least some exercises every day.”
Admitting that he loves his ‘action hero’ tag, Vidyut added, “I feel happy when I’m addresses as an action hero. Youngsters generally ask me how I built my physique and maintain it. I only advise them to stay away from drugs and other ill habits.”
Prachi quipped, “In order to be successful, it’s essential to be confident about your capabilities. But, we must also keep a second option ready. After winning the title, it was only gradually that I landed my film, Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend, and tasted success. So, youngsters should first know what they are good at and plan for themselves accordingly.”
