So Tripura (ruled by CPIM) finally did the right thing and lifted AFSPA. Now we need other states in NE and J&K to do the same.

AFSPA was introduced in 1958 by Home Minister GB Pant to control "arson, murder, loot, dacoity" in Naga areas. Never extended to Chambal!
