LUDHIANA: Glowing tributes were paid to Pandit
Jawaharlal Nehru on his 51st death anniversary here on Wednesday. A special function was organized at the Sarabha Nagar on the occasion.

Pawan Dewan said that while the whole nation was grateful to
Pandit Nehru for his contribution in laying down the foundation of a strong India, Punjab owed a lot to him. He pointed out that it was Pandit Nehru who had granted the Bhakra Dam and Punjab Agricultural University to Punjab, both of which had really helped Punjab forge ahead of other states.
Dewan said that the greatest tribute to Pandit Nehru was to follow the path set by him. He said there was a need to reinforce his ideas among the people so that India progresses and succeeds well, as envisioned by Pandit Nehru.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included councillors Palwinder Singh Taggar, Satwinder Jawaddi, Baljinder Bunty, Vinod Bathla, Inderjit Tony Kapoor, Deepak Hans, Rohit Pahwa and Maninderpal Singh Titu.
