Cara Delevingne’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Leaks Reveal ‘F–king Insane’ Batmobile Chase [Video]

Cara Delevingne cannot seem to get enough when it comes to her Suicide Squad gig as Enchantress. There also seems to be no filter when Ms. Delevingne gets on a roll talking about the upcoming Suicide Squad film.

Suicide Squad will mark Cara’s first major role since her brief feature film debut in 2012’s Anna Karenina, so that may contribute to Ms. Delevingne’s enthusiasm when she speaks, or raves, about Suicide Squad. Although Cara Delevingne confesses that she has never been a big fan of comic books, her excitement to be participating in Suicide Squad is clear.

“It’s f–king insane,” Cara said in an E! Online interview. “I’m not the biggest fan of superhero films. There are so f–king many. I love the Batmans but some of them I’m not that keen on. I’ve never been so excited to see a film and I’m actually in it. I wish I could tell you about it at all. The movie is going to be the best thing in the world. The camaraderie on set is insane.”

DC Comics first debuted Suicide Squad in 1959 in The Brave and the Bold (vol. 1) #25 and reappeared again in Legends #3 (1987). The most modern version of the Suicide Squad was updated by John Ostrander for Legends #3 as a group of antihero supervillains covertly employed by the United States government to perform high-risk black ops missions. Suicide Squad operates out of Belle Reve Penitentiary in the comic books. The existence of Suicide Squad has been used to explain how so many supervillains can roam the streets undetected, until they draw attention to themselves by becoming embroiled in new criminal activities.

Following Ms. Delevingne’s wild-eyed raving over her Suicide Squad role and over the film in general, it seems much more was revealed by fans leaking videos of a Suicide Squad chase scene currently being filmed.

The scene involves the batmobile from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice chasing down a magenta-colored car that resembles the Joker’s car from the DC Comic books. Also seen in this Suicide Squad filming sequence is Batman himself sitting atop the Joker’s car, as the chase scene is being filmed.

David Ayer, director of the Suicide Squad feature film, has not commented on the newly leaked clips, but for those doubting that these clips come straight from the set of Suicide Squad, Ayer has commented on his own style of filmmaking.

“I believe in old school filmmaking. Real stunts. Real people. Real places. It makes all the difference on the screen. Thank you #Toronto.”

Clearly, those expecting some CGI movie magic are going to be disappointed.

Suicide Squad, starring Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, and Jared Leto, is expected to hit theaters in August of 2016.
