NEW DELHI: With the RSS and VHP pushing for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, BJP today said it is committed to doing whatever is possible within the ambit of Constitution.
"Surely, within the ambit of Constitution, we will see to that what kind of framework be laid as far as Ram temple issue is concerned," party spokesperson Sambit Patra told reporters.

While a RSS functionary urged the Modi government to live up to the expectations of the people by fulfilling its promises, particularly on Ram Mandir and scrapping of Article 370 of Constitution that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, VHP asked it to "clear hurdles" in the path of the construction of the temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.

"As fas as Ram mandir issue is concerned, there should not be any confusion. Our manifesto read outs the truth, that whatever is possible within the ambit of the Constitution the party is committed to doing that," Patra said.
