Family looking for help in recreating Christmas this weekend for their terminally ill son (4)

Conor McLoughlin said his son Sebastian (4) had been diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this year and now has only weeks to live.

Conor, his wife and their extended family are looking for any help possible in recreating Sebastian's favourite time of the year.

"Sebastian really loves Christmas, like any child, it's his favourite time of the year. He looks forward to it from one end of the year to the other," he told Ray D'Arcy on RTE Radio 1.

In particular they are looking for a sleigh and deers, Santa's grotto and anyone with Minion costumes or anyone willing to dress up as Minions.

Sebastian fell ill in January this year with eye trouble, headaches and vomiting. An optician referred them to hospital where doctors found a golf-ball sized tumour at the back of his head.

Even though medics managed to remove the tumour during surgery at Temple Street Children's Hospital and Sebastian underwent chemotherapy, he became ill again and MRI results were "as bad as it could be".

Now preparing to give their son his final Christmas Day, the family are appealing for help in securing all the trappings of the celebration.
