Delhi continues to reel under intense heat wave

A blazing sun was beating down on Delhiites who are unlikely to get any relief from the searing heat wave on Wednesday. The minimum temperature was, however, recorded three notches below the season's average at 24.8 degrees Celsius.

The humidity in air was 38 per cent at 8.30 am. The MeT department has predicted clear skies for the rest of the day. "The skies will be mainly clear. The maximum temperature is expected to hover at 44 degrees," said the weatherman.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in the city had settled at 45 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius.
