Memorial service for ex-PTV producer

LAHORE  - Memorial and thanksgiving service for Samuel Perzvez Mull, a former PTV producer and a prominent Christian leader, was held at the Cathedral Church of the Resurrection on Tuesday. He passed away last Friday due to heart attack. For over two decades he had settled in USA and was based in Washington. He was visiting Pakistan to express solidarity with the Christians of Youhanabad after twin blasts outside two churches caused a number of deaths.
Bishop of Lahore Irfan Jamil and Dean of Lahore Cathedral Shahid Mehraj led the prayers in the service which was attended by heads of Christian institutions, family and friends of the deceased. Hymns were sung on the occasion while those sharing their views on the occasion included Bishop of Lahore (Emeritus) Dr Alexander John Malik, Bishop of Peshawar (Emeritus) Manu Rumal Shah, Prof Abdia Elvin, Innocent Dilbar Feroze and Emanuel Sarfraz. Achievements of SP Mull as he was lovingly called were recalled and special prayers were offered for the departed soul. The deceased is survived by a widow, two daughters and a son. The daughters had flown in from USA to participate in the memorial service and to take the body there for burial.
