Continuing its initiatives for citizen-friendly policing, the City Police have come up with a new App. ‘Fourthlion App’, as its christened, is aiming at providing more services to citizens at the click of the button. The new application would be made available for the public soon.

A private software firm developed ‘Fourthlion App’, which provides close to 10 services. Technicians tested the application here on Tuesday and explained its features to the police personnel.

Police Commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao said the new application would enable people to avail more police services without visiting police stations.

The App is also equipped with public information services like flight, train and bus timings, he said.

Services like SOS-Emergency, e-challan verification, complaints and suggestions, FIR status, complaints on public transport, status of movie tickets, police officers phone numbers, maid, tenant and driver verification and passport verification would be extended through Fourthlion, Mr. Rao said.

The App will be kept in Google play soon and public can download and install it in their mobile phones, said the software developers.
