Golf hero Graham McDowell and his charity the G-Mac Foundation will once again team up with Aer Lingus to fly children recovering from serious illness on the holiday of a lifetime.

The airline and the Ryder Cup star are long-term partners with McDowell, a brand ambassador for the soon-to-be privatised airline.

The partnership sees Aer Lingus fly recovering patients from Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin, along with their families, to Orlando, Florida.

In addition to the trips away, the G-Mac Foundation funds and supports children's medical research across the island of Ireland and the US.

McDowell will appear at the Irish Open later this week.
