Ryan Seacrest is set to make someone’s dreams come true this summer.
The “American Idol” host has signed on to host and exec produce “Knock Knock Live.” Fox’s upcoming summer reality series enlists friends, families, neighbors and celebrities as it knocks on participants’ doors to surprise them with anything from a chance to play basketball with an NBA great to a cash windfall.

In addition to “Idol,” Seacrest is also host and executive producer of ABC’s annual “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest.” His credits also include “Million Second Quiz,” the poorly rated live game show that aired in 2013 on NBC.
“Knock Knock Live” hails from Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions and premieres at 9 p.m. on July 21. Fans who believe they know someone deserving of visits from the show can submit names online at KnockKnockLive.com.
