SI cover: Warriors, Stephen Curry return the Bay Area's love
It’s no secret the Bay Area loves the Golden State Warriors.
Golden State returns the favor by playing an exciting brand of basketball that packs the 20,000 seat Oracle Arena for every home game.
It also helps to have the league’s best team and the league’s most exciting player this season in MVP Stephen Curry.
Curry is on the cover of Sports Illustrated for the second week in a row. He is the first athlete to grace back-to-back covers since Jeremy Lin at the height of "Linsanity" in February 2012.
Fine tuning: Coaching Stephen Curry, best shooter in the universe
The Warriors and Curry also reward the Golden State faithful, who have gone through decades of mostly inept basketball, with spectacular defense and 3-pointers that come from every spot on the court.
It remains to be seen if the team will move to San Francisco in the next couple of years, but those rabid, yellow t-shirt wearing Oracle Arena fans will no doubt make the move across the Bay right along with them.
