Who needs the Caribbean when you have North Wales?

Football WAG Coleen Rooney is looking to invest in a caravan for a family holiday after enjoying staying with pals so much over the weekend.

It was reported this morning that she and her husband, Manchester United captain Wayne, had purchased a €34,000 caravan at  Presthaven Beach Resort in Prestatyn, North Wales.

But the swimwear designer cleared up the rumours, saying she was simply visiting friends there, but is now considering making a purchase.

"Some rubbish gets written in the newspapers," she wrote on Twitter this morning. "Yes I stayed in a caravan with friends and all the kids on Saturday night!! We had a fantastic time. I haven't bought one but will think of getting one cause my kids loved it!!"

Caravan owner Louise Roberts told The Sun:  "It's that British sort of lifestyle that people love. Back to their roots I suppose."

While word of their secret holiday choice may only be out now, Coleen is said to have frequented  the discounted holiday park several times over the last year.

It marks a start contrast to their preferred holidays destinations, including Barbados, Dubai and Las Vegas.
