In what highlights the uneasy relationship between the BJP and Shiv Sena, Saamna, the Sena's mouthpiece, has completely ignored NDA's government's first anniversary.

Most of the newspapers in Mumbai on Tuesday published page one article on completion of Modi government's first year in power. However, barring a small piece on Modi's massive Mathura rally, Saamna has no report marking the government's first 365 days in office.

Shiv Sena, which is a part of NDA alliance at Centre, has not been very happy with the Modi-led government and have been on cross roads on issues like land acqusition bill , FDI in insurance and Jaitapur atomic energy project.

The party had even critisised Modi's recent Mongolia visit, saying the Centre was ignoring domestic issues like farmers' suicides.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's had announcement a credit line of US$ 1 billion to Mongolia. An editorial in Saamna had then asked "why he (Modi) can't show the same eagerness to help the distressed farmers of Maharashtra reeling under debt."

"The PM announced a US$ 1 billion aid to Mongolia, so that relations between the two countries can be further cemented. The PM has taken moral responsibility for development of this small nation. But, this is not a small amount. This will only aggravate the pain of souls of farmers who have committed suicide," the article noted.

Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has even rejected requests by journalists to talk on Modi government's firt year performance.
