Boston University to Offer Online Master of Social Work Advanced Standing Option
Boston, MA. (PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- Beginning this fall, Boston University will offer an Advanced Standing option in their online Master of Social Work (MSW) program. Already available in select Off-Campus Program sites and on the Charles River Campus, the online option will be offered starting September 1, 2015.
This Advanced Standing option is open to applicants holding an undergraduate social work degree accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Students entering the program will be granted 22 credit hours for approved undergraduate work and can earn an additional 3 credits for the successful completion of the Research I Waiver Exam. The online MSW from Boston University is tailored to active social workers with backgrounds ranging from clinical counseling to community-based settings. The online format allows flexibility for the students to continue with their professional lives while they advance their education and experience through required field experiences. Placement support will be provided to the online students to make the internship process as flexible and enriching as possible.
Applications for classes beginning September 1 are being accepted through June 15, 2015. Candidates interested in pursuing the online MSW with Advanced Standing option must complete an online application and meet the following criteria:
