Rekha wants a retake for 'Fitoor'
Fitoor director Abhishek Kapoor obliges his desi Miss Havisham.
Director Abhishek Kapoor's period romance, Fitoor, an adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel, The Great Expectations, has Rekha playing a desi Miss Havisham. Last December, the Bollywood diva had the whole unit, in fact, the whole of Srinagar, in a tizzy, when she flew into the Valley to shoot for the film.

Akshay Oberoi, who plays Mufti, the man who breaks the heart of a young Rekha, played by Aditi Rao Hydari, had earlier admitted to waking up early morning, just to watch the legendary actress shoot. "In fact, many unit members who were not required on the sets, along with some locals, showed up for a 5am shoot just to gape at her. It was mesmerising!" the actor had told Mirror.

And even though there were loud cheers after the director called "Cut", it seems that Ms Perfectionist herself wasn't too happy with some of the shots canned, when she watched the final rushes recently.
A source close to the development told Mirror, "Rekhaji requested Gattu to re-shoot some of the portions featuring her that they had filmed earlier after the final schedule wrapped up in Mumbai last week. Even though Gattu was satisfied with the scenes in question, he readily agreed to oblige Rekhaji and has extended the shoot by a few extra days. On Monday, they were at Mehboob studio reshooting a sequence."

We texted Gattu but he chose not to reply.
