Vijaywada puja site identified by the CRDA

The land measures 25 acres and is located about half-a-km away from the River Krishna
Guntur: The plot on which the state government plans to perform the bhoomipuja for the construction of the state capital has reportedly been identified by the CRDA.
The plot, in Mandadam, belongs to local TD leader Bejawada Narendra Babu and his brother Bejawada Sambasiva Rao. Mr Narendra told this newspaper on Monday that he received a call from the office of the Chief Minister about the bhoomipuja being performed on his land.
“Earlier, the district collector Kantilal Dande had hinted that my family’s land was selected,” he said and added that he will start preparing for the puja from Tuesday or Wednesday.
The land measures 25 acres and is located about half-a-km away from the River Krishna. However, CRDA commissioner N. Srikanth has denied that any venue has been finalised for the bhoomipuja.
Local MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar too refused to confirm the news. Local revenue officials claimed that two spots had been identified, and Mr Narendra’s land is one of them. Meanwhile, Pundits have informed that the bhoomipuja will done on June 6 by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
