The 'Chak De' actress Chitrashi Rawat, who was last seen as a feisty cop brandishing a pistol in 'FIR', will be seen in an Indian avatar in the TV show 'Tu Mera Hero'. She will play a qawwali singer and in contrast to her previous outing, she will be seen wearing salwar-kameez on the show. Not just that. Chitrashi will also wear a wig to look the part. “My hair is curly and I was told that actresses with curly mop mostly play modern characters.
I had to straighten my hair and wear wig for a long-hair look.
I play a small town girl, who writes satire and is poetic,” says the actress. Does that mean she will croon on the show? “I would love to. I am a fairly good singer,” she replies. Incidentally, the actress will reunite with her 'FIR' co-actor
Gopi Bhalla. She says, “I am excited about working with him again. We had a great onscreen and offscreen camaraderie. I love to tease him. We are going to have a blast on the set.”

A daily soap requires you to shoot 25 days a month. While doing the previous show, I had do decline a couple of good movies. I am open to doing series or a bi-weekly show. I can’t play the same character for over six months. I want to make money and travel the world,” she says.
