Kerala Pradesh Congress

Committee (KPCC) general secretary T. Siddique, who resigned from the party post following a case of assault being filed by his former wife T. Naseema, told reporters here on Sunday that the complaint against him was completely fallacious and fabricated.

Mr. Siddique said he was stepping down because he felt that it was not morally right to continue as the general secretary of the party with a complaint registered against him.

He said he would not disclose anything about those who ‘worked against him’ now. Stating that he had complete faith in the leadership of the party Mr. Siddique said he would continue to be an ordinary party worker till he was acquitted. “No one should think that the truth could be suppressed or hidden for long by creating a smokescreen,” he said.
