Accused brought to Kottayam from UP

KOTTAYAM: The accused in the Parambuzha triple murder case Narender Kumar was brought here from Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. He was lodged at Manarcad police station lock-up here. He would be produced before the court on Monday. Police would seek his custody for further interrogation.
The special police team which held Narender Kumar from Firozabad, had reached Delhi by Saturday midnight.
They reached Nedumbassery at 12.30pm on Sunday. The accused was brought to Manarcad Police station by 3pm. He was subjected to an initial questioning by the investigation team under DSP Kuriakose. Based on initial questioning, the police said the accused resorted to killing to settle his debts back home. He had planned the act two months ago at the time of joining the laundry shop.
It was on last Sunday that M K Lalasan, wife Prasanna Kumari and their eldest son Praveen Lal were found murdered in the laundry shop run by them.
The police said the accused was hiding in the shop for around one hour after committing the crime and then he came out and took an autorickshaw to railway station. The cops are yet to trace the autorickshaw. He had boarded the first train to Thiruvananthapuram. From there, he had gone to Goa, Pune, Mumbai, Agra and Delhi before reaching his home town.
