Fire at Jaisalmer's IG Canal creates havoc

JAISALMER: A fire broke out at 248RD of the main Indira Gandhi Canal on Sunday, just 4km away from the BSF headquarters in canal area at Ramgarh. The fire spread to 4-5 km and engulfed the forest department office at 248RD.
Apart from this, the fire spread to tent of the BSF water point and somehow the BSF jawans saved their lives. Seven fire tenders were engaged for controlling the fire.The tehsildar, many forest officers, villagers and more than 100 jawans of BSF are busy controlling the fire. But till the news was filed, the fire was spreading.
