GHAZIABAD: The crime branch of Ghaziabad Police arrested wanted gangster Vishwas Singh Bhadora on Sunday, who has been evading arrest since 2012.
Vishwas belongs to the infamous western UP gang led by his younger brother Yogesh Bhadora. The 50-year-old had been running the gang ever since Yogesh was jailed in 2014.
Cops said they nabbed Vishwas from near Raj Nagar Extension, where he had gone to meet a friend.
An illegal pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
According to police, Vishwas has seven cases of murder and one of Arms Act lodged against him.
"Pramod, another Bhadora sibling, was murdered in 2011 by a rival gang of western UP. After Yogesh went to jail in 2014, Vishwas had shot dead a sharp-shooter of the rival gang inside Meerut court in broad daylight to avenge the death of his brother," said a senior police official.
