Gala prizes, games and fun at Times Evening

KOLKATA: Ignoring the sweltering heat, residents of Eden City Maheshtala streamed out of their apartments to take part in ‘Times Evening’ for more than four hours on Thursday.
There was a sit-and-draw competition for young ones — Presto Art Fight — in which 34 children participated. Tanima Guria, Vanya Prasad and Ayusni Ghosh came first, second and third respectively.The prizes were sponsored by Presto gifts.com and The Braands.
In the ‘IFB Master Chef Competition’, the first prize — an IFB microwave oven — was won by Doona Kanikam. Keya Roy came second and Rakhi Chandra third. The category was judged by chef Pradip Rosario, owner of KK’s Fusion, IFB Master Chef Soma Chatterjee and Supriyo Banerjee, marketing head (east) of IFB appliances.
‘Made for Each Other’ was a contest for couples conducted by RJ Roopsha. Amir Hossain and Farzana Ahmed came first, Sadique Jia and Sheree Sadique Jia came second and Subrata Mukherje and Bani Mukherjee were third. A special prize was given to Nazia Razzak for her excellent dance performance. Prizes for the event were sponsored by The Braands, an exclusive leather showroom at E-Mall, and Tangerine.
In Tambola, the winners were Archana Sinha, Tina Chatterjee, Soma Sarkar, Junita Gouda and Kiran Prasad. The prizes were sponsored by MAT-X and Re-Feel and handed over by Anil Khandelwal, owner of The Braands, Arnab Bhattacharya, marketing head of Topsel Toyota, Narpindar Kaur Madan, owner of Nippy Enterprises, franchise of Wonderchef, and Indranil Roy Chowdhury from Eureka Forbes Ltd.
The musical performance had everyone dancing to popular Hindi and Bengali numbers. A free test drive was organized by Topsel Toyota through.
Finally, it was time for the gala prizes — microwave oven, induction cooker, roti-maker from IFB, ceramic cook-top and laptop study table from MAT-X, exclusive gift hamper from Presto gifts.com, lunch vouchers from Tangerine, test drive from Toyota-Quality Revolution, Eureka Forbes, Servo World Class Lubricants, leather goodies from The Braands, gift hampers from Wonderchef – Nippy Enterprises, and gist hampers from Re-feel.
