Yvonne, Sark and Lydia (YSL) who are so called Ghanaian celebrities are organising a #DumsorMustStop vigil which comes off tomorrow evening in Accra. Popular actress, Yvonne Nelson started this #DumsorMustStop campaign on social media, specifically Twitter with this hash tag which has received complementary support from other entertainment icons like Van Vicker, DKB and Prince David Osei.
However, there are other public figures who do not buy into this seemingly nationalistic event about to take place in less than 36 hours. But a modicum of common sense teaches us that dumsor has wreaked havoc on our national economy! So we all must work in harmony to solve this sickening problem once and for all. And this #DumsorMustStop vigil is long overdue but we hope it yields the expected results.
Moreover, dumsor has plunged our struggling economy into an economic morass, so why should people treat this campaign with cheap partisan politics? Coo! I fear these celebrated campaigners would suffer from political vendetta! But I also think that these role models must display consistency and action of immense proportions to prove the patriotism in their campaign.
