Ragini Dwivedi is the next CM!

In what has become a tradition, Sandalwood star Ragini Dwivedi will be announcing a new film on her birthday today. Titled Naane, with the tagline ‘Next CM’, it is being directed by Mahesh of Mussanje Maathu and will go on floors today.
Talking about the film, she reveals, “As the title suggests, it is about the common man. Everyone refers to himself or herself as ‘naane’. It talks about the power of people.How, instead of depending on authorities, they can be agents of change themselves. This film shows that every common man has that power to make a difference. It is a simple idea, if you think of it.”
Quiz her about the idea being similar to Nayak and Mudhalvan and she exclaims, “Believe it or not, Nayak is my favourite film and I would love to be the Chief Minister for a day in real life.”
“Naane is being produced by PS Productions, who are passionate about quality content-driven cinema,” adds Ragini. About casting Ragini, director Mahesh says, “Ragini has done films that have proven her as a commercial heroine. This film shows how it would be if a lay person, here a woman, is the CM. Instead of blaming authorities, I’ve tried to show, through the protagonist how each individual can realize their aspirations, in a commercial way, replete with action, emotions and romance.”
