Palghar MLA Krusha Ghoda dies of cardiac arrest

MUMBAI: Shiv Sena MLA from Palghar Krushna Ghoda died of a massive cardiac arrest early Sunday while returning from a marriage.
The four time MLA, Ghoda (61) complained of a chest pain while in the vehicle at Charoti check naka on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway at around 2 am. He was taken to the Haria hospital in Vapi, Gujarat where he was declared dead before admission.
A former Congressman, Ghoda had won the MLA seat thrice from the Dahanu assembly constituency.He had defeated sitting Congress MLA Rajendra Gavit in the 2014 state assembly election by 515 votes. Ghoda had helped the Sena win back its seat that it had ruled since 1990 before losing it to Gavit in 2009.
He was recently elected Vice President of the Thane District Co-operative Bank. His funeral will leave his Dahanu residence later in the day.
