Google launches Skrillex-designed live cases

Today, Google has announced that it has done collaboration with electronic music artist Skrillex to launch a new series of limited edition cases for Android devices and cases for the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Google has launched smart cases for Nexus and Samsung smartphones. Skrillex has designed the first three limited edition ‘live cases’.

All three of Skrillex live case designs have been put on sale through the Google Store. They have taken on an abstract space theme, and one of them is a weird, an alien-infused case.

You have to pay $40 for Space Shield, Circuit Bae and Lil Planet each. They are available in four phone-fitting sizes for the Nexus 6, Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S5.

In the case of Skrillex Android live cases it's not only the design that makes these back covers stand out, as they also wirelessly beam content to your Android phone.

There is live wallpaper showing the Earth's stratosphere on the live case during the day. These moving images update over course of the day.

Actually, Google and Skrillex have launched a custom-designed balloon satellite, which has been given name after the musician's dog, Nanou, to pull this off. Certainly it’s not like your average animated background. During night, the case starts showing constellations visible from your current location.

Furthermore, live cases also add another way to control your Android all because of the single button on the back.

Google has given a hint that its live case idea is not going to end with just these three Skrillex designs. The limited-edition and individually numbered cases have gone from the Google Play Store.
