GOD’S grace is promised to the humble ”...in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble”-I Pet.5:5.

GOD’S grace is promised to the humble ”…in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble”-I Pet.5:5.

It is not given for one’s selfish use. “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace…”-I Pet. 4:10.

The improper use of grace is disastrous for the recipient. When grace is not properly used, it may be rendered useless.

The grace of God enables one to lead a simple life in spite of the spirit of restlessness that abounds in our society. It empowers one for service “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain: but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I but the grace of God which was with me”-I Cor. 15:10.

The divine grace is very rich in nature because it leads to repentance from sin, something that can neither be faked nor bought “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realising that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance?”-Rom. 2:4.

Repentance brings forgiveness of sins as his twin brother “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”-Eph 1:7. Once forgiven, grace brings justification Romans 3:24. Grace endows us with God’s kindness. Grace is meant to be enjoyed by all and sundry, but unfortunately not all are enjoying it. If you want to enjoy the riches of God’s grace, you need to become member of God’s family by coming to Jesus Christ, “that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.

May be you have repented of your sins, you have received adoption and have been justified, but it looks as if you aren’t enjoying God’s kindness? Some Bible models grew in grace of God and they benefitted greatly. Samuel grew in the favour of God; he has a successful ministry and life. (I Sam. 2:26). John the Baptist grew strong in the spirit and had a fulfilled life (Luke 1: 80).
