Chittoor: Chittoor police booked 3 notorious red sanders smugglers under PD Act as per the directions of the district collector on Saturday. The accused are already in judicial custody and they have been sent to the prison in Kadapa.
The smugglers have been identified as Sheik Munna, 33, of Ashok Puram in Chittoor, I. Riyaz Basha, 32, alias Dadi Munna of Lalu Garden in Chittoor and K. Srinivasulu Madhu alias Chintachettu Madhu, 35, of Balaji Colony in Chittoor.
According to information Sheik Munna is a school dropout, Riyaz Basha is a graduate and he acts as an escort for transporting the red sanders logs while the third accused Srinivasulu Madhu is a diploma holder.
