MUMBAI: A cement mixer truck brushed against a car in which Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, was travelling. Nobody was injured in the accident. The truck belongs to a private developer, the police said.
“The accident took place around 7.45pm on Friday. The cement mixer grazed the car at a traffic signal and the right taillight was damaged.
Nobody was injured so we didn't arrest anyone. We registered an accident case,” said Vinay Kulkarni, senior inspector of Worli police station.
Soon after the Worli police received the information, cops were dispatched to the spot. The truck driver, Dinesh Goutam, was taken to the police station for questioning.
The police examined Goutam’s driving licence and other documents. “He was not drunk,” said a policeman. After a routine inquiry, the police let off Goutam.
