Peas rises on fresh buying

NEW DELHI, May 23:  Peas prices were up by Rs 25 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on pickup in buying by stockists on the back of a rise in demand from retailers.
However, other commodities traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen attributed the rise in peas prices to pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts.
In the national capital, peas white and green were up by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,875-2,900 and Rs 2,875-2,975 per quintal respectively.
