Six arrested in Nashik for burglary in Cidco

The Ambad police have arrested six people in connection with a house break-in case in the Cidco area on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

NASHIK: The Ambad police have arrested six people in connection with a house break-in case in the Cidco area on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the police, goods worth Rs 2.34 lakh were stolen from Sarda Telecom sometime between 10 pm on Wednesday and 10.15 am on Thursday. Unidentified persons broke the shutter of the mobile phone shop near Divya Adlabs theatre and stole 32 cellphones, a tab and a laptop.

B D Bardekar, senior police inspector of the Ambad police station, said the vehicle used in the crime and the stolen goods were recovered within 12 hours after the complaint was lodged.
Police said they had received CCTV footage in the area. Though the faces of the accused were not clear in the footage, they nabbed one of them by analyzing his body language.
After arresting him, the police nabbed the remaining five accused in the case. Though the Ambad police did not provide names of the accused, they said one of them was from Sinnar, two from Bhadrakali, one from Upnagar and one from Ambad.
Police said the accused are in the age group of 18-22 years.
Meanwhile, the police will produce the accused before a city court on Sunday to seek their remand. Police added that they were checking if anyone among them was a criminal on record.
