The boom on a shingle delivery truck got caught in a power line on John Street between Caroline Street and King Street, Friday night.

The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m., and the driver and passenger couldn’t exit the vehicle until hydro crews ensured their safety.

They were stuck for at least 20 minutes, but made it out safely after crews temporarily shut down the power.

As a result, traffic lights were also out at King Street and Union Street.
