Crude bomb blast in Bihar injures 5 children

Five children were injured when a crude bomb, lying in a bush, accidently went off in the district on Saturday, a senior police officer said.

BHAGALPUR: Five children were injured when a crude bomb, lying in a bush, accidently went off in the district on Saturday, a senior police officer said.
Senior superintendent of police Vivek Kumar said the bomb went off when children playing cricket in Kathalbari locality under Barari police station area approached the bushes in search of a ball.

As they were searching, an explosion took place injuring the five children, the SSP said.
The injured have been admitted to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, the SSP said, adding one of them is in serious condition.
