Mixed farms to buy and rent enter market in southern England

A range of mixed farms are hitting the market this week, including one farm business tenancy (FBT).

Waddon Farm, near Portesham, Dorset, is available on a seven-year FBT.

The 433 acres are down to grass and the farm has a good range of buildings, which are currently used to manage a sheep flock.

A 332-acre block of grassland at Carswell Marsh near Faringdon, Oxfordshire, is for sale at a guide price of £2m.

About 140 acres is bordered by the River Thames and includes fishing rights. Half of the land has been previously put to arable production. (SmithsGore 01865 733 304)

Hithercroft Farm, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire, offers 267 acres of predominantly arable land at a guide price of £2.85m for the whole, or in seven lots.

The 184 acres of contract-farmed Grade 2 and 4 arable land is currently put to cereals, beans and oilseed rape with 75 acres of grass let out for grazing. A number of portal-framed buildings are included. (Adkin 01235 862 888)

Barn Farm’s 150 acres of grassland near Bude, Cornwall, has potential for arable cropping at a guide price of £1.6m.
