Srinagar, May 22 (KNS): MLA Langate Er Rashid Friday said that statements made by Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Manoher Parrikar are absolutely unacceptable and ample proof to understand that BJP has started showing its true colours.
Condemning strongly Naqvi for his remarks that those who want to eat beef must go to Pakistan, Rashid said, “Naqvi’s remarks have hurt the sentiments of 20 crore Muslims of India and the myth of India being secular state stands exposed. If Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi seriously believes that those who want to eat beef should go Pakistan, then he must keep in mind that 200 million Muslims will not go Pakistan empty handed, leaving their belongings behind, but will prefer to have another Pakistan within India, which they have a right to protect themselves against communal and radical Hindu fundamentalists.”
“Naqvi’s revelations have hurt Muslims and amount to sewer interference in religious affairs,” he added
Rashid also termed defense minister’s statement that ‘we will create terrorists to eliminate terrorists’ unacceptable and said that the intentions are clear that GoI intends to revive counter insurgency and is in search of Kuka Parays and other renegades of their times. He warned of dire consequences and asked him (defence minister) to restrain from any such dirty move. “Mr Parrikar’s threat to sponsor terrorists speaks of his arrogance and disrespect towards human rights. Parrikar should understand that before reviving counter insurgency GoI must explain the constitutional validity of counter insurgents and VDCs and punish them for their brazen terrorist activities sponsored by the state. These are all extra constitutional and illegal creations meant to give cover to the massacres of Kashmiris, by calling the killers unknown militants,” he said
