He spent Rs 16 crore to convert the irrigation department building in Vijayawada into the CM's office until he shifts to new capital, Amaravati. Naidu divides time between Hyderabad and the camp office from June 2. Notwithst anding a barb from K. Chandrasekhar Rao, calling him a "permanent tourist", Naidu is not leaving Hyderabad any time soon. His 1980s residence in Jubilee Hills is being pull ed down to make way for a swanky new home.
