Two killed in stove blast, one dies of electrocution

JAMMU, May 22: Two persons including a 15-year old girl, who were injured in stove blasts at their respective residences in different parts of Jammu region a few days back, succumbed to their injuries in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu while a migrant labourer today died of electrocution at his workplace in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, Samira Bano (15) daughter of Shamsdeen, a resident of Thathri in Doda district was injured on May 15 in a stove blast at her residence. On the same day she was shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment, however, she expired this morning about 8.30 am.
Similarly, a labourer identified as Nand Lal (35) son of Blaser Pantha, a resident of Bihar (at present Anana Nagar, Jammu) also suffered injuries while cooking food at his temporary residence on May 16 when the stove blasted. Since then he was battling for life at GMCH Jammu, where he expired on the intervening night of May 21 and 22.
Meanwhile, a labourer from Chhatisgarh today came in contact with a live wire at a construction site in Sidhra area of city outskirts. In unconscious condition, he was immediately rushed to GMCH, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The deceased labourer has been identified as Firat (25) son of Ram Dayal, a resident of Chhattisgarh (at present Sidhra).
