Viduthalai Tamil Pulikal Katchi has accused the headmaster of the Residential Higher Secondary School at Kunchapanai in The Nilgiris district, run by Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, of sexually harassing students.

In a petition submitted during the public grievances meeting in the Nilgiris district on Monday, the organisation said that headmaster had also threatened some of the girl students. The organisation urged the district administration to take action against the headmaster.

When contacted, The Nilgiris Collector P. Sankar said that the complaint has been forwarded to the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department and assured that action would be taken. Further, he added that a team from the Department had already inspected the school and they would take appropriate action if the allegations were found true.

Later, the Collector added that the headmaster has been transferred to Vellore district.
