Colts get an average grade for their offseason moves

INDIANAPOLIS -- ESPN.com NFL Insider Mike Sando recently had four analysts grade each NFL team’s offseason moves.

The Indianapolis Colts say it's not Super Bowl or bust for them next season. But you have to wonder if that's truly the case based off their offseason moves to go with their returning players, led by quarterback Andrew Luck.

The Colts, as you likely know, were one of the more active teams in the league during free agency, signing the likes of running back Frank Gore, receiver Andre Johnson and linebacker Trent Cole.

From a grading standpoint, though, the analysts, which include former Colts GM Bill Polian, Louis Riddick, Matt Williamson and Field Yates, gave Indianapolis only a C-plus for its moves.

The main issue the analysts had was that the Colts signed veteran players that are on the decline of their career instead of peaking. And the selection of receiver Phillip Dorsett in the first round has them puzzled because Indianapolis had other pressing needs on its roster.
