“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” will feature a new villain who was seen in the cartoon series. Shredder is set to form an alliance with the new villain and will also be joined by the cartoon characters Bebop and Rocksteady. [Spoiler Alert!]

The 2014 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie introduced the heroes and Shredder to the audience. According to a report by CinemaBlend, the sequel will now introduce Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady. All three characters were popular in the animation series of the franchise.

Krang is a brain with tentaclelike hands. The character came from Dimension X in the cartoon and was helping Shredder to conquer earth. In one of the episodes of the cartoons, Shredder even built Krang a formidable new robotic body. The two villains had an uneasy alliance and tolerated each other only to serve their own interests.

The other two cartoon characters who will be seen for the first time in the movie are Bebop, who looks like a warthog, and Rocksteady, who looks like a rhino. The two characters were originally normal human beings in the cartoon series, but their appearance changed after their mutation, and they served as Shredder's henchmen. Although the two characters were seen to be dimwitted in the cartoons, their mutation helped them become superstrong.

Another new character fans will get to see in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” is Casey Jones. The masked superhero was seen dispensing vigilante justice using his hockey stick in the cartoons. He was a close friend of the character April O’Neil.

Megan Fox will reprise her role as the news reporter April in the upcoming movie. William Fichtner will reprise his role as Eric Sacks, a character who is a senior member of the evil Foot Clan and was desperately trying to find a way to re-create the Mutagen that led to the creation of the superheroes in the 2014 movie.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” is slated to be released on June 3, 2016, in the U.S. The production of the movie is ongoing. Fans of the franchise are eagerly waiting to see the characters back in action after the first movie's success at the box office.
