Maggi ban? Twitter abuzz as many rush to stock up their favourite unhealthy food

Indians and Maggi noodles have a strange relationship. We know it is not the healthiest food, yet we accept it as it is for all its faults.

A staple food among students, hostel residents, people away from home and lazy cooks, it has come to the point that many cite their cooking ability as being able to make Maggi.

So, when there were reports about the possibility of Maggi being banned due to it containing high amounts of lead, MSG and other completely unhealthy things, the first thought many (including this writer) had was ‘HOARD!’

A number of people have taken the Maggi ban as a call to stock up supplies of their favorite snack just as one would during a zombie apocalypse.
