It’s most likely the Linea replacement, will come in two Multi-Jet II diesel engine options with fuel efficiency of over 70 mpg (nearly 29 kmpl)!

Fiat Aegea

Fiat has revealed Aegea sedan at the on-going 2015 Istanbul Motor Show in Turkey. Though the Italian automaker has not confirmed that whether this sedan would be the Linea successor or not, but this is most likely to replace Linea. FIAT Chrysler Automobiles promises that Aegea is developed from scratch rather than derived from a hatch. Moreover, it will go on sale from November in Turkey and later in over 40 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Speaking of India, Fiat did not confirm the arrival of Aegea in India but it is expected that this vehicle will replace the slow-selling Linea in the country.

The 2016 Aegea is designed distinguishably and more mature and flamboyant compared to the chubby looking Linea. Fiat is saying that it has an unmistakable Italian style, but it looks more of European one to me! At the outset, you get a larger grille flanked by swept-back headlamps. There are prominent crease lines running across the body. Speaking of the size, Aegea is 4.5 m in length, 1.78 m in width and 1.48m in height and features a wheelbase of 2.64 m. Fiat promises comfortable accommodation of five passengers, and we don’t doubt that either. Moreover, it has a boot capacity of over 510 liters!

There will be two MultiJet II turbo-diesel engines and two petrol units with power outputs of between 95 and 120 hp and will come mated to either manual or automatic transmission (depending on engine) options. On the inside, it features FIAT Chrysler Automobiles’ Uconnect infotainment system equipped with a five-inch colour touchscreen; hands-free Bluetooth calling with audio streaming, SMS text reader and voice recognition; AUX and USB ports with iPod integration along with controls on steering wheel.
