But overall pass percentage dipped compared to last year

It rained state ranks here, as the SSLC results trickled in, with the district bagging eight State second toppers, and 16 State third toppers.

The pass percentage in the district, however, dipped from 94 last year to 93.99 securing 29th place in the State.

The government schools registered a pass percentage of 92.26, while municipal schools just 67.35.

The toppers (498 marks) were: Kavya S.S. of Parimalam Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Hosur; Subha Shalva S; Vasundhra M; Dev Prasanth S.S. of Sri Vijay Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Hosur; Soundarrajan K. of Adhiyaman Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Uthangarai; Sonali S. of Sri Vijay Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Krishnagiri; Bhuvaneswaran P. of Sri Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Uthangarai; and Yogaavikashini K.K. of Vailankanni Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Bargur. Those who scored 497 marks were: Harini T.R. of Green Valley Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Hosur; Harini K.; Mythili G.; Raja Varshini R.; Sanjai B.J. of Sri Vijay Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School; Mohanapriya P. of St. Augustine Matriculation School, Onnalvadi; Akkshaya R. of Adhiyaman Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Uthangarai; Ashwini R; Nandhini Devi C; Reshma B; Selvarai S; Yamini P.S; Arunprakash M; Jeeva M. of Sri Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Uthangarai; Jolin Sheena S. of Trinity Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Krishnagiri; and Harini L. of National Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Thirty four students scored 496 marks becoming district third.

Krishnagiri education district registered a pass percentage of 95.18 (girls 96.55, boys 93.91), and Hosur education district registered 92.67 (girls 94.81, boys 90.49), a release here said.

Matching the general trend, 95.7 per cent of girls who appeared for the examination in the district passed, and the pass percentage of boys was 92.33.

Aishwarya M. of Government girls Higher Secondary School, Hosur, and Mahalakshmi S. of Government girls Higher Secondary School, Uthangarai, scored 494 marks. Usha M. of Government girls Higher Secondary School, Bagalur scored 493 marks. Sathiya Moorthy R. of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Uthangarai; Soundariya N. and Haritha G. of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Hosur, and Krishnagiri respectively scored 492 marks.
