RINL launches water supply to rehab colonies

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited has launched the supply of drinking water to four rehabilitation colonies and villages in and around VSP during summer at an estimated cost of around Rs. 15 lakh.

RINL Director (Personnel) G.B.S. Prasad on Thursday flagged off the drinking water tankers for colonies under Corporate Social Responsibility with the help of Greater Vizag Municipal Corporation (GVMC) at Sunderayya Colony.

Drinking water is served through GVMC tankers by making 26 trips a day to all rehabilitation colonies on Thursday. The residents expressed their gratitude to RINL for their gesture.

Steel Executives Association president and general secretary Garg and P. Satyanarayana, Visakha Steel Employees’ Congress general secretary Mantri Rajsekhar and union leaders D. Adinarayana (AITUC), N. Rama Rao (CITU), Sheeba Rani from Women in Public Sector and Jagjeevan Ram of SC & ST Association were present.

ECoR pledge

Waltair Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) observed Anti-Terrorism Day.

May 21 is observed as ‘Anti-Terrorism Day’ throughout the nation to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The day is marked by taking a pledge among other activities.

DRM of Waltair Chandralekha Mukherjee took the pledge and administered the same to all officers and staff of all departments.
