Mission Indradhanush launched in Tuticorin

Sixteen antenatal mothers and 94 children aged below two years were administered vaccines under Mission Indradhanush, a Central government programme, here on Thursday. The programme, launched in 201 high-risk districts across the country, is aimed at covering every child who is either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated against preventable diseases, by 2020. S. Uma, Deputy Director of Health Services, said here on Thursday that 28 localities in the Corporation were being covered and nine types of vaccines being administered.
