Plus Two: 85.53 per cent pass in Thrissur district

Ten schools secure cent per cent pass

The district has recorded 85.53 per cent pass in the Higher Secondary examinations. The results were declared on Thursday.

In all, 31,143 students from 176 schools appeared for the examinations this year. Out of it, 26,637 students have passed. Among them, 943 students won A-plus grade in all subjects. Thirteen students won 100 per cent marks.

The district secured pass percentage of 80 in technical school examination. Of the 55 students appeared for the examination, 44 have passed. In open school category the pass percentage was 37.78. Of the 8,873 students appeared for the examination, 8,682 students have passed.

Ten schools in the district secured cent per cent pass. The schools are G.H.S.S. Vivekodhayam, Thrissur; Don Bosco H.S.S., Mannuthy; St. Joseph’s M.H.S.S., Kuriachira; Carmel H.S.S., Chalakudy; Don Bosco School, Irinjalakuda; Government H.S.S., Chembuchira; Model Residential School, Chalakudy; B.V.M.H.S.S., Kalparambu; Little Flower Convent H.S.S., Koratty, JMJ EMHSS, Athani.

Thirteen students in the district have scored hundred per cent marks. The students are Jayasree Sivadas, Saranya P. Mooss, L.R. Ardra (Vivekodhayam H.S.S., Thrissur); Akshara Raveendran, Golda K. Joy, (St. Clare’s, Thrissur); Aldrina Maria (St. Antony’s, Mala); P.A. Thamanna (Higher Secondary School, Panangad); Pavithra Hariharan (St. Raphael’s School, Ollur); P.S. Vishnu Priya (St. Joseph H.S.S., Pavaratty); V.J. Anagha (N.H.S.S., Engandiyur); Aparna Shaji, Merce Rose Shobby (Carmel H.S.S., Chalakudy); Anna Rose Thomas (Little Flower H.S.S., Koratty).

Kalamandalam Higher Secondary School recorded 90 per cent pass.

Maximum number of students appeared for the examination from Vivekodhayam Higher Secondary School. Of the 457 students appeared for the examination, 79 secured A-plus grade in all subjects.

Vivekodhayam School has second place in the State in terms of number of students appeared for the examination. The school has also won maximum number of A-plus in the district.

In all, 31,143 students from 176 schools appeared for the examinations this year.
