PICS: This glass bottom bridge in China looks terrifying

Cape Town - The world's longest and highest, suspended glass bottom bridge is set to open in China... and just looking at artist impressions of it is making our knees wobble.

Designed by Israeli architect, Haim Dotan, the bridge will span a canyon in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, suspended 300m above ground and stretching 430m across.

CNN reports that the bridge, which is built to hold about 800 people, will not only allow visitors to have 360 degree views of the breathtaking natural surrounds, but will also be home to the world's highest bungee jump as well as serve as a runway for spectacular fashion shows.

While the project seems rather pie in the sky (quite literally), Huffington Post reports that construction is actually well underway and the officials are hoping to open it by the end of July.

Earlier this year, Spain reopened their infamous Camanito Del Rey, widely known as the world's most dangerous footpath, to the public after extensive refurbishments. The upgrade also included the addition of a glass bottom bridge... which now looks a lot less scary to us than it did before.
