UDAIPUR: A 25-year-old woman who had eloped with her lover with a hope to start her life afresh has landed at Nari Niketan while her husband has been sent to police remand for 10 days.
It may be recalled that on Wednesday, one Prakash Bishnoi was arrested for murdering her wife Poonam Bishnoi's paramour Devendra Bishnoi.
Prakash and his armed men had on Tuesday midnight abducted Poonam and Devendra from their rented house in New Bhupalpura area here.

The armed men were in two cars. On seeing the police chasing them, they tried to escape. In the process, one of the cars overturned after crashing into the divider.
The police caught Prakash and Poonam while others managed to escape.
Devendra's body was found near National Highway-76 in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The assailants had thrashed him badly and then crushed him under their car.
"As no one from Poonam's family or in-laws turned up to take her back, she was sent to Nari Niketan (state's shelter home for women). She is in a state of shock now. We will produce her before the magistrate soon," said Harendra Singh Sauda, SHO, Sukher police station.

Meanwhile, Prakash was produced in the court on Thursday. He was sent to a ten-day police custody for interrogation.
Prakash is said to have told police that his cousin Manohar and three others had beaten and killed Devendra near Madhavpura village.
Four teams have been sent to Jalore and cities in Gujarat to nab the assailants who had aided Prakash in Devendra's abduction and murder.
Devendra hailed from Bhinmal while Poonam is from Karda in Jalore district.
Poonam's father Babulal Bishnoi is a steel merchant settled in Mumbai. He had got his daughter married to Prakash who assisted him in the business.
Meanwhile, this incident has led to a debate in the social media. Many people have been sympathising with Prakash claiming that the 'betrayers' got what they deserved, while a few others said it all happened due to a forced marriage.
Infatuation led to infidelity
According to sources, Poonam is an educated girl. She wasn't happy with her married life. Her husband Prakash was not much educated. Moreover, he was dependent on her father for a living. Poonam came to Udaipur to pursue a two-year training course and lived in a women's hostel where she befriended Puni, another woman from Jalore.
Puni's husband Devendra often came to meet his wife and thus became friendly with Poonam.
The infatuation turned into a passionate love affair, but when Poonam's family members came to know about her relationship, they forcibly took her back to Mumbai. But distance could not subdue their feelings for each other. Devendra's wife Puni was pregnant and had to go to her parents' house for delivery.
Taking this opportunity, Devendra went to Mumbai and eloped with Poonam. The duo rented a house in Udaipur on April 18 and had been living there as husband and wife.
Devendra's parents who had come to claim his body were in a state of deep shock and anguish.
Devendra's wife had delivered a baby just a day prior to his death. Thus, Devendra could not see his child's face even once. The incident has shocked the entire city with people talking about this tale of infidelity which ruined not just four lives but their families too.
