maximum rainfall of 17.5mm in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on May 21.
Afzalpur hobli in Afzalpur taluk of Kolar district recorded maximum temperature of 43.9°C at 3.45pm on May 20. Bhagamandala hobli in Madikeri taluk of Kodagu district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 18.5°C at 4.45am on May 21.
More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 38% geographical area in the state.
Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 34% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 1% of hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of 2.5mm. Moderate rain was recorded in 10 gram panchayats; light rain in 55 gram panchayats; very light rain in 166 gram panchayats;and no rainfall in remaining 4,639 GPs across the state.

For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on May 21, four geographical regions received 0.1mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 4mm, a 97% deficit departure from the weighted-average normal.
